I have always liked zonkers, they imitate minnows and the larger trout eat them. When Spirit River introduced cross eyed cones I put one on a Zonker. The added weight helped to sink the fly and gave the fly a great head shape with eyes. Weather you strip or dead drift the fly it is one of my go to streamers.
