A very attractive antique opal and aquamarine necklace in 9ct gold. This eye catching necklace is circa 1920s and features an oval shaped, bezel set opal with a mesmerising play of colour. Above the opal is a round bezel set aquamarine, adding a touch of icy blue that complements the fiery opal. Both stones are gracefully suspended by a delicate rose gold chain, which may have been added at a later date as the stones are set in yellow gold. The mixed use of metals is hardly noticeable at all and not detrimental to the piece.
